The anti-rust aluminum of the 3000 series aluminum alloys is represented by the 3003 alloy. Aluminum alloy 3003 has a low strength and cannot be heat-treated. For processing parts, it requires good formability, high corrosion resistance, and good weldability, or both. This alloy must also have a higher strength than 1XXX-series alloys. Examples include kitchen utensils, equipment for processing and storing food and chemical products, tanks and tanks for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels, and pipes made from thin plates.
In addition to having strong corrosion resistance to the atmosphere, fresh water, salt water, food, agricultural production systems, gasoline, neutral inorganic salt solutions, etc., 3003 aluminum alloy also has good corrosion resistance to sea water. Additionally, corrosion resistance in diluted acids is very good. The 3003 aluminum alloy has a propensity for exfoliation corrosion in the state of cold deformation, and the higher the deformation, the more severe the exfoliation. Anodizing is typically avoided due to the inconsistent hue that results from the process.

Heat Treatment Process of 3003 Seamless Aluminum Tube
- Complete annealing: heating at 390-430°C; depending on the effective thickness of the material, the holding time is 30-120min; cooling with the furnace to 300°C at a speed of 30-50°C/h, and then air cooling.
- Rapid annealing: heating at 350-370°C; depending on the effective thickness of the material, the holding time is 30-120min; air or water cooling.
- Quenching and aging: quenching at 500-510°C, air cooling; artificial aging at 95-105°C, 3h, air-cooling; natural aging at room temperature for 120h.
